Cornwall Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund

Since 2005 Cornwall County Council has delivered an element of ALSF money under the fourth objective; to compensate local communities for the impacts of aggregates extraction.

Each year the allocated funds are divided equally between those Parish Councils with an active primary aggregates quarry located within or directly adjacent to the Parish. These Parishes are then able to use the funds for any project, and at present there are seventeen Parish Councils who qualify. In addition a limited number of projects distributing the benefits to the wider community have also been funded.
